Well we made it up to Edmonton in time for the girls to start their new school! So far it is going pretty well. I think the girls are happy and they tell me they have made a couple of friends. They all really love their teachers so that of course, is great. It has been quite the sudden change for all of us, but we are adjusting.
Something new about school in Edmonton is the need to buy all of the back to school supplies. The girls loved doing this and organizing and labeling all of their new pencils and books, etc. Lily even said, "Mom this is just like Christmas!" They had a lot to carry that first day.
Lily, a little nervous but excited too.
Izzy, happy to start grade 4 and return to the school she went to kindergarten in. She said her one really good friend from kindergarten came up to her and gave her a big, long hug. She was happy to see old friends.
Busy busy, lots of people!
Chloe didn't start Kindergarten until the next day and only went one day this past week, so her teacher could get to know all of the students easier. She was SO happy to go to "real" school finally, like her big sisters. When she got out the first thing she said to me was, "I want to take the bus home!" She was looking forward to riding the bus this year. Oh well. I heard it gets old anyway!
This was Olivia after Chloe went into the building. She was not happy! She cried out, "I want my sisters back!" I guess she doesn't want to be free from them for a few hours!
After school, all is well again. She is happy to have them back...
Matching jeans!
...and matching haircuts! They got their hair cut right before we left for Edmonton. They love them, and so do I.
