"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

PAJAMA PARTY!!!

On Friday we had Isabelle and Lily's joint birthday party. They wanted a Pajama Party theme, and it was a lot of fun. There were 19 children (including our 3) in total, and so it was a lot of fun. I think this is the last year we will be doing their parties together, because between their cousins and friends, it is starting to be quite a lot of kids. But it was still really fun! Here are some pictures:

The invitations. All of the party info was on the back. We had all the kids come in their pajamas, of course.

The girls cakes. We saw them on the internet, and the girls loved them. They really liked to help decorate them:

Decorating pillowcases:

Playing Pin-the-pillowcase-on-the-bunkbed:

Blowing out the candles. Lily doesn't look too happy here, I think it was the sparklers. She says she likes them, but I think they scare her a little.

Playing Musical Moons and Stars. Its like Musical Chairs, only you step on a moon or star when the music stops. The kids loved it!

Having Pillowcase Races. Zoe here is helping Lily into her pillowcase. Zoe was actually such a big help the whole party, thank you Zoe!!!!

Go Lily go!

And whats a birthday party without a pinata?

Happy Birthday Dear Isabelle!

Isabelle is 6 years old today! She has been patiently waiting for her birthday to come. It is hard for her to have her younger sister's birthday a mere 4 days before hers. In her mind, she was born first, and so her birthday should come first, but oh well! She was very happy today finally came. In her Kindergarten class, if it is your birthday, you are the jefe, or boss, for the day, and you are treated extra special. She was so excited about that. We made cupcakes for her to share with the class. We then had her open a couple of gifts from us after school, and then at 4:30 was her and Lily's combined birthday party, that they have been looking forward to for a while. I will post pictures of that later, but on this post, there are some of Isabelle today.

We just love Izzy so much!!! She is so smart, and such a great help, and so cheerful and nice to be around. The other week in Church, her teachers told us that in Sharing Time, she knew all of the answers to their questions, and they were so impressed. A man in the Primary overheard the conversation, and came up to us and said, "She knew all of the answers last week too!" She loves learning, especially about the Gospel, and she tries so hard to live a good life, even though she is only 6. She is picking up on reading more and more. She loves to read new sentences, and she can figure out what they say faster and faster. She is also learning how to swim on her own more, over the last couple of weeks. She will go under the water a lot, and swim more without a life jacket. It is so fun to watch her learn and grow. She is such a blessing in our life and family!

Happy Birthday Dear Lily!

Today Lily is 4 years old!!!! Where does the time go? She has been looking forward to her birthday for quite some time now. We have told her, "Your birthday is not until the spring," and "Your birthday is at Easter time," and so she has been asking, "is it Spring yet?" and "Is it Easter?" Yesterday we told her that the next day was her birthday, and she replied, "You mean it is Spring tomorrow?"

We love Lily so much! She is so fun and great to be around! We were in the grocery store the other day and we walked past a lady who had some Easter lilies in her cart, and Lily said to her, "Those are lilies, and I am Lily!" The lady thought it was so cute. Lately she has been asking a lot about what she was like as a baby, and how did she say certain words. She is so funny sometimes!

We are having a joint birthday party with the girls friends and cousins on Friday, Izzy's birthday, but today we still had a little family party with just us. We then went to the zoo, where the girls could pet the new baby chicks, and make a butterfly craft. After, we went swimming at the Kinsmen, on Lily's request, as she got a new pair of goggles for her birthday today and was anxious to use them. All in all it was a great day, and it was nice to have both Ben and Izzy home with us to celebrate as it was a holiday.

Here are a whole bunch of pictures of the day:

She was a little scared of the sparkler :)

She snuck in a little smile here. Probably because she knew it was almost done!

She has been asking for this Alexa Barbie doll for a long time. It is the main character from the movie, "Barbie and the Diamond Castle," which she loves. She calls it a "LEE EXA Barbie." This picture shows how happy she was to get it!

The doll sings, and here is a picture of her singing and dancing along to it. It was so cute.

We decided to get both of the dolls from the movie. She loves them and is really good at sharing them.

Here are some pictures at the zoo:

Ben made a butterfly craft for Chloe because she was sleeping. She woke up shortly after this picture was taken.
