"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!!

SLUMBER PARTY!!!! That's what we had this weekend. The Eklunds were in town and their younger girls were going to stay at our place and we thought, why don't we just invite all of the little girl cousins over for a big sleepover? There were 9 little girls in total: Abbey, Erin, Sydney, Maggie, Zoe, Taylor, Isabelle, Lily, and Chloe. We had a blast. The girls played toys, on the rope ladder, the roller coaster, ate mini pizzas, sundaes, candy, popcorn, watched movies, and had a yummy pancake breakfast in the morning. They stayed up late (11:00 pm) and got up early (6:30am!!), and everyone had a really good time!

Izzy

So a couple of days ago Izzy did something that was so sweet I want to record it. Ben was working late, and as usual I was feeling quite ill and tired. We had dinner really late, and so, right afterwards I had all the girls go upstairs to get PJ's on and get ready for bed. I was upstairs with the younger two, but Isabelle was taking a really long time to come up. I had to call down to her about 4 or 5 times before she finally came up. I was starting to feel a little annoyed that she was dilly-dallying so much. Anyway, when she came up, she got right into her pajamas, and then we read scriptures, sang a song, said prayer, I brushed their teeth, and I tucked them into bed. They were all so tired that night that by the time I went to go get my PJ's on, they were all asleep! It was pretty late. Anyway, I then went downstairs to clean up dinner, and to my surprise the table had been completely cleared! Isabelle was taking so long to come up because she was clearing everything off the table for me! She did it without me asking and without me knowing. It really made me feel happy and grateful for her. She's only 5, yet she still knows how to help me and cheer me up! I thanked her for it first thing the next morning and she was happy that she had surprised me. I love Isabelle so much!!!

How Exciting

Today we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. That is always so exciting! It makes it seem that much more real. Ben was working late, and so he was able to come too. I have been feeling awful, but I am still excited about having another little one! The house is an absolute disaster; its just so hard to stay on top of everything when I'm feeling this way. I am 14 weeks along today, and so hopefully the sickness should be passing soon. Isabelle and Lily were both in school during the doctor's appointment, but Isabelle especially, was really excited when I told her we could hear the baby's heartbeat. We then started talking about the ultrasound coming up, and she was really interested. I showed her everyone's old ultasound pictures, and it was really fun to look back at all of them! We are all so excited to be having another baby!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Chloe!!!

So our little Chloe has turned 2!!!! My parents, the Wickhorsts, the Hergets, and Scott and Maci came up to help us celebrate. We stayed in the hotel they were all staying at too. The girls had fun with the bunkbeds in our room, the breakfast in the morning, and of course, the swimming pool. We all then went to Galaxyland and back to our place for presents and cake. It was an awesome weekend and it was great to see everyone. On Monday, Chloe's actual birthday, Grandma Gwenn took her out for a birthday date and bought her a new kitten from Build-A-Bear, and had lunch and a treat with her. She had a wonderful 2nd birthday. We all love her so much!!!

Here are a bunch of pictures of it all:

It was cute when Chloe opened up her new clothes. She quickly stripped off what she was wearing and started putting on her new outfit, right there in front of everyone.

The Roller Coaster was so fun for all the kids!

Chloe is trying here to hold up two fingers, to say she is 2!
