"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

--Thomas S. Monson, 2009

Chloe's Cute Quips

Chloe picked some weed "flowers" and put them in a little basket in her room for safe keeping. The next morning they were, of course, wilted and dead. She brought them to me with a sad face and said, "Mommy, my flowers melted."

There was a whole bunch of fliers/newspapers on our front porch. I went outside to get the mail and Chloe saw all of them there, and excitedly shouted out, "Look Mom! Good news! Look at all the good news we have!"

Piano and Irish Dance

The girls have started taking Irish dance together and they love it! They practise all the time around the house. I constantly hear, "1-2-3, 2-2-3, 3-2-3 and point your toe, 4-2-3, 5-2-3, 6-2-3 and off you go!" and away they go skipping all over the house and everywhere else we go!
It is fun they get to be in the same class. I am happy they like it.
They have also started up piano lessons. This is Izzy's second year, and Lily's first. Lily wanted to take it so badly. They are really loving it as well and are both so eager to learn.

Take The Bus Together

Every other Friday Lily goes to kindergarten in the AM and gets to take the bus with Isabelle to school! They love riding on the bus together. Here are some pictures of their first day riding the bus together.

Walking to the stop, (it was garbage day):

Here it comes!

1st Day Off the Crutches

Yesterday was Ben's first whole day with no crutches. Yay! He was getting so sick of those things! Lily always called them "crutchers" and Chloe always called them "crunches". They are pretty happy they get to play with them whenever they want now. His leg is healing really well. Here are some photos (I won't enlarge them, because they are pretty gruesome!)

This was when the injury was fresh. His leg actually looks a lot better in these pictures than it does now! But the swelling and scabbing was yet to come...

And here it is today! Pretty gross. It actually is feeling a lot better for him though. It is funny because this leg is quite a bit skinnier than his other leg due to lack of use and probably muscle damage too. We are just so grateful that it wasn't any worse and that he is getting better. Not too many people can say "I had a van fall on my leg," without it breaking!

Art

This is Chloe's version of Helaman's 2000 Stripling Warriors. We had a FHE lesson on it the other week, and then one day she brought this to me and explained what it was. Pretty good!

We told the girls during Conference to listen to what is being said and either write down what you hear or draw a picture of it. Isabelle and Lily drew these:

I also wanted to add this picture Lily drew a while ago. We had the missionaries over for supper and the next day she drew a picture of them!

She LOVES to read

Lately she loves to look through books and point at the pictures, and have me read them to her. This book, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?" is one of her favourites. She will point to the page with the teacher on it, a woman with short brown hair and glasses, and say, "Momma." It is so cute.

They've learned to play together...

..when the older two go to school! Olivia loves to do whatever Chloe is doing, and Chloe loves to be the leader and the one in charge for once. It is so fun to watch them!
