"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

Lemonade For Sale

The girls badly wanted to do a Lemonade Stand yesterday. So we made Rice Krispie Squares and purple popcorn balls to go with it. They were so excited to be out there. Chloe kept on yelling, "Lemonade for sale! Lemonade for sale!" as loud as she could. It was thundering the whole time we were out there, but they still wanted to stay outside. It even started raining a little, but they didn't care. The only "customer" to be seen was an older lady walking her dog with a poncho on. They eventually took turns pretending to be the customers and buying lemonade. I am sure there will be many more of these to come this summer...

Isabelle wrote the words for the sign. It reads, "Lemonade Stande, Rice Krispies Stande, Popcorn stande, for only 10 cents." The other two drew the pictures on it.
