"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

It's Great To Be Eight

Isabelle is 8 years old! This is such a special birthday as it is when she is old enough to get baptized. She is so excited and happy to be baptized next weekend. We can hardly believe she is already 8! She is such a wonderful little girl, everyone loves her so much. She has been blessed with many talents and strengths. One of them is her love of the gospel. She loves to bear her testimony in church, go to Primary(she is really looking forward to Activity Days), read, mark, and look up scriptures, and be a missionary. She has a wonderful spirit about her that brings a lot of happiness into our home. She also really loves wall climbing (her latest activity), Irish dance, piano, swimming, making crafts, reading, writing, making up stories, coloring and drawing.

She is our eldest daughter, and she is a fantastic big sister. She is a strong leader with them and with other children, and is creative and full of great ideas. She can easily entertain herself and keep herself busy and happy.

Here are some pictures of her today on her actual birthday:

She was happy to wake up to a big "8" balloon and a panda googly eyed stuffie:

Her school had rollerblading lessons a few weeks ago, and she LOVED them! So we thought we would give her her own pair for the summer, or for when we go to the roller rink in town.

She was also really happy with the little purse and webkinz we gave her, something she told us she really wanted:

Happy 8th Birthday Isabelle! We love you so much and are so glad to have you in our family!
