"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

Canada Day 2014

How blessed we are to live in this wonderful country!  This year we went to festivities at the clubhouse at our lake.  Last year we were out of town and missed them.  They were so fun!

We rode our bikes there since we knew the parking would be horrendous.  One lady came up to us there and said she loved seeing our family all dressed in red and white riding our bikes in a row.  I loved it too!

They had a pancake breakfast we stood in line for:

Yummy pancakes

Olivia has been working hard this summer to conquer those monkey bars!

They had a bouncy house, balloon animal maker, fake tattoo artists, and various crafts and coloring the kids could do.  Plus, the playground and beach itself!  'Twas a grand day.

This guy, I think he was BoBo the Clown, was hilarious.  Loved to tease and joke with the kids.  He kept saying my girls were his sisters, and called me mom.  It was funny, but I'm not sure Olivia knew he was joking!

Ooh Lala, palm beach sunset

Later that night we went back to watch the fireworks.  While waiting for it to get dark we got to witness this gorgeous sunset.  We HEART Canada!
