"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

Random Fall Happenings

In our other little garden box we planted carrots.  In the past, carrots have never worked out for me.  But this year they worked great!  We dug up so many!  They were really tasty too, and they lasted for a long time.  The girls loved taking them to school and telling their friends that they planted these carrots themselves.

Izz, Lily, and I went to the Women's Broadcast this year.  It was fun to go because our stake has a little mix n' mingle beforehand.

All in all, we had a lovely fall.  The weather was divine.  I love Edmonton in the fall.  So many colors and beautiful trees.

Ben and Izzy found this tree to climb in Hawreluk Park.  The others climbed up later too.

My Family Tree

One morning we walked to school, this gorgeous sunrise was there to greet us.  Beautiful October sky.

Olivia has had what she calls "Soy Baths" in her room for a while.  She first asks you to come in and sit down and enjoy her salon.  She pretends to do your nails, hair and makeup.

Izzy was helping her this day

And then she has you lay on her bed and she gives you a "Soy bath." It's basically a massage.  I have no idea where she got the name Soy Bath from, but it is the cutest thing.  She even has a sign on her door.

My nephew on Ben's side has been called to the Madrid Spain mission!  He and his best friend actually got called to the same place and report at the same time.  So fun for them.  We had a get together to celebrate it the other day. I didn't even get a picture of him, but here are all of the girl cousins who were there that day.
