"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will -- to your surprise -- miss them profoundly."

Elk Island National Park

We took a short camping trip to Elk Island National Park.  It was really fun, even if we did FREEZE at night!  No it wasn't that bad.

As soon as we entered the park, we came upon these on the road!  A whole herd of them:

Elk Island National Park is one of the only national parks that are fully fenced.  No bison can get in or out.

Izzy was a tad worried! Especially when she saw the one bison getting ready to charge!

Here's a video of what we experienced:

Setting up the tent:

Checking out Sandy Beach.  Too much gross algae!

Nature hike:

A beaver up close:

Video of the beaver:

An old well and farmhouse:

Beavers were swimming right behind our campsite!

Smores!  You always want somemore!

She loved to haul the firewood

Enjoying a peaceful night with some hot chocolate

A teeny frog.  They would jump right across you while you were walking.

Nice picnic before we headed home.
